What About Us?

This is a very sweet story about a developmentally disabled young women afraid she will loose her art classes if the Medicaid cuts go through.

But the story makes it seem as if cuts will impact “nice to have” services.

In our community we aren’t afraid but terrified, as the cuts would impact critical services with potentially devastating life-altering effects.

Dany (the young women) is very brave for sharing her story, we thank her for telling it, and we hope she does not loose her classes.

We are glad the potential cuts are getting coverage.

We wish the media was telling full story of the of the full impact of the potential cuts.
